Athletics: Traditionally, the Unna gymnastics club invites you to the New Year’s Eve run on the last day of the year. It is now the 40th edition. The starting shot will be fired on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at 2 p.m. at the Katharinenschule, Bornekampstraße 1. Once again, it’s time to start the New Year with sport and donate to a good cause. It’s also time to meet again in the schoolyard and exchange ideas with friends and acquaintances.

Runners and walkers can choose from routes of different lengths (5.5 km, 7.5 km and 10 km) as well as a 1200 meter long children’s route. The three different routes are signposted and lead from the Katharinenschule via Bornekampstraße to the south, varying distances into Bornekamp and back again

Running or walking takes place without timing. Everyone runs as best they can. Registrations are in full swing and exclusively online – even on the day of the event, which many participants take advantage of. Registrations are possible via a QR code at www.tv-unna.de. The entry fee is 6 euros per person. Children and young people up to 18 pay 2 euros.

Anyone who runs donates to a good cause. Because the more runners, the more money for a good cause. This year, the organizers are donating the proceeds to IN VIA eV, the Catholic association for girls’ and women’s social work. In particular, the campaign is intended to support the “Chili” youth café in Unna.
