Kanchipuram: Due to the northeast monsoon in Kanchipuram district, water is flowing in three rivers namely Palaru, Seiyaru and Vegavathi rivers.

In this, the maximum flow of water was 7,000 cubic feet per second.

In the other two rivers the water flows less. At the confluence of these three rivers, the old Seevaram barrage built in Thirumukoodal area, accumulated a lot of water.

A week ago, on the 14th, a maximum of 7,204 cubic feet of water was released from the barrage. As the rain gradually decreased in the following days, the water inflow also decreased.

In this case, according to the survey taken by the water resources department yesterday, only 461 cubic feet of water is flowing in the old Seevaram barrage.
