Video service YouTube is testing a new feature that will make 4K video available only to users with a Premium subscription. About it informs a number of Reddit users who are offered to buy a YouTube Premium subscription to watch videos in the highest resolution of 2160p. The maximum available resolution for viewing may remain 1440p.
In the US, the subscription price is $11 per month, in Russia – 199 rubles. per month. After the start of the special operation in Ukraine in Russia, difficulties arose with the acquisition of YouTube subscriptions. Earlier in August 2022, YouTube tested showing up to ten ads before playing the video itself, but this feature remained in the test.
