The accident that caused the death of a Brazilian singer in the middle of a show on July 13 went worldwide and is reminiscent of Metallica’s visit to Montreal in 1992 when James Hetfield came close to a live burn.

5) Rexha’s baby
In June 2023, American singer Bebe Rexha was taken to hospital after a fan’s phone hit her head during a show in New York. The day after the incident, the pop star shared images of her swollen and blue face, which showed her fractured brow bone. The fan was charged with assault, the New York Police Department confirmed.
The scene marked the singer visibly since she threatened to sue another fan who tried to throw an object on stage last June, a year after the accident.
4) Trophy Eyes
Last April, the lead singer of Australian group Trophy Eyes threw himself into the crowd, seriously injuring a fan in the process. A fan of the band was attending a show in Buffalo when John Floreani jumped into the audience and landed on her head.
Badly injured in the spine, Bird Piché began a long rehabilitation process. Fortunately, she regained mobility in her arms and feelings returned to her legs, according to what the group showed on July 7.
3) Cherie Currie
Former member of The Runaways Cherie Currie said a few days ago that the members of the group Rush had almost finished their career in February 1977.
The singer explained that the members of Rush “ruined The Runaways’ set” by throwing sheets of paper on stage.
“I hit one of those pieces of paper and I slipped on this stage and there was an orchestra pit with all the photographers,” she told media outlet “Louder.”
2) Foo Fighters
In June 2015, Dave Grohl, singer and member of the group Foo Fighters, collapsed during a concert. Although he broke his leg, he returned to the stage to finish the show.
“Look now! I think I broke my leg,” he told the crowd.
1) Metallica
Metallica, Faith No More and Guns N’ Roses’ shows at Montreal’s Olympic Stadium on August 8, 1992 made headlines, but not for the reasons expected.
First, Metallica singer James Hetfield suffered significant facial burns in a pyrotechnic accident. Then, after a two hour wait, Guns N’ Roses only played for 55 minutes.
Disgruntled fans of the show then caused a riot.
