5 people arrested for threatening and robbing passengers on Bengaluru-Mysore Expressway

Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the Bengaluru-Mysore expressway only a few days ago. Before that, vehicles were allowed to ply on the expressway. A gang intercepted vehicles including cars on the expressway, threatened them with knives and assaulted them, robbing them of jewelry and money. A gang recently robbed passengers of several lakhs of rupees worth of jewelery and cash on the expressway in Chennapatna, Ramanagara district.

A case was registered in this regard at Chennapatna Suburban Police Station. In this situation, the Chennapatna police have arrested 5 people for threatening and robbing passengers on the Bengaluru-Mysore Expressway. It was learned that the 5 people had already been arrested by the police in robbery cases and had been lodged in jail, and when they came out on bail, they robbed the passengers on the expressway. Money and weapons have been seized from them. The 3 arrested persons are still being interrogated.
