After buying a suicide note, the father killed his sixteen-year-old daughter. On November 6, the girl was found hanging dead in her house in Kalmana, Nagpur, Maharashtra. After writing a suicide note to teach his wife and relatives a lesson, the accused asked the girl to pretend to commit suicide.
The police found five sets of suicide notes written in the girl’s handwriting from the house in Kalmana. On the basis of these notes, the police had registered a case against the girl’s stepmother, uncle, aunt, grandfather and grandmother on the charge of inciting suicide. The police found evidence pointing to the murder after checking the father’s mobile phone.
Police say that the 40-year-old accused killed the girl in front of her 12-year-old younger sister. The girl was placed on a stool with a noose around her neck. The girl was asked to pretend to hang herself. After taking many such pictures on the mobile phone, the girl was killed by knocking over the stool. The suspect left the house after the murder and returned shortly after.
He himself reported the death to the police. He told the police that he left the house and returned to find the girl dead hanging from the fan. He confessed to the crime during interrogation after pictures of the girl committing suicide were found on his phone. His first wife committed suicide in 2016. His second wife also left him. The police informed that a detailed investigation is going on regarding the matters behind the murder.
