2. Legacy technology: 99% of IT professionals in Mexico stated that their organizations have legacy technology: old devices that do not have the latest security updates. When it comes to poor team management, employees’ top concerns are security attacks (44%), slow access to patient data (42%), and time spent troubleshooting (44%). 29%).

3. Data leaks and increases in IT budgets: Additionally, 57% of healthcare organizations in Mexico have experienced planned or accidental data leaks by employees in the last year. However, 58% of organizations increased their IT budgets, demonstrating greater awareness and focus on data security.

4. Proliferation of unmanaged devices in the healthcare sector: The use of mobile devices, tablets, rugged devices and printers in the healthcare sector has increased, creating potential data breaches. SOTI research found that 49% of IT professionals in Mexico reported an increase in the use of personal devices to access company systems and networks, highlighting the need for proper device security management to prevent access to patient information.

5. Expansion of new technologies and the challenge of downtime: Although 99% of IT professionals consider the use of new technologies a priority to improve organizational efficiency and productivity, device downtime remains a challenge.

Healthcare workers in Mexico experience 2.9 hours of downtime per week, underscoring the importance of advanced diagnostic tools and efficient management to ensure uninterrupted patient care and increased productivity.
