What newcomers are there in the underwear charts? We report on the hottest newcomers for underneath.
Berliner Zeitung
A new season is upon us and with it comes a change of outfit. Old things are sorted out and new ones bought. However, the focus should not only be on the outerwear, because: the underwear in particular often decides whether we feel comfortable or uncomfortable throughout the day. Or at night. What underwear is coming to the shops now and what we wear underneath – we’re happy to reveal that!
1. Movie classics: Calvin Klein
If you like it sporty and comfortable like Marty McFly from “Back to the Future”, you will love the classic among underwear brands. Calvin Klein makes athletic cotton underwear with an elasticated waistband emblazoned with the brand name. Whether briefs, panties, bustiers or bralettes – the iconic underwear comes in various forms. Just in time for the new season, the brand is presenting its new line “Calvins or nothing”, which includes the well-known cotton variants in all trendy cuts, but also parts with lace for those who like it a little more sophisticated underneath. The unlined bralette is made from a cotton-modal blend that feels feather-light against the skin and is available in light gray and black. The bralette costs EUR 44.90 in the online shop, and the matching string with a high waistband is available for EUR 19.95.

Tip: The models are rather small, so please choose a larger size than usual!
2. Silky from Berlin: Zodiac Studios
The underwear brand Zodiaque Studios was founded by designer Emily Renk in Berlin last year. So far, Renk has had a small but excellent range that is silky convincing with a total of four models: Made of elastic silk fabric, the underwear exudes a shimmering touch of luxury. The “Athene” line offers bras in a balconette shape, while “Venus” offers bralettes in a triangle shape. The bras are each available with matching panties for a price of 90 and 120 euros. The matching thong with ring detail and ruffles on the sides as well as panties are available for 50 and 60 euros. As for the color scheme, the brand uses pastel tones – grey, light baby blue and a playful rose gold. Since both lines were designed in the same colors, panties and bras from the different lines can be easily combined with each other.

The Japanese fashion chain Unqilo focuses on simple basic pieces that can be combined with anything. The brand’s range also includes a large selection of underwear for both men and women. As the name suggests, the “Heattech” collection is designed to keep you warm with innovative materials. So you don’t have to wrap yourself up for it. The one-layer system ensures that just one layer keeps you warm. The Heattech tank top consists of 20 percent viscose, the fabric feels silky soft – not only to the touch, but also when worn on the skin. Tip: If you are particularly sensitive to cold, we recommend the Heattech thermal leggings. Tight-fitting, they are an ideal replacement for pantyhose under woolly winter clothing or wide pants, and you can also wear the soft leggings at home instead of jogging pants. It is available for EUR 29.90.
4. Sensual Astrology: Love Stories x Moonsisters
Attention Astro fans: The lingerie manufacturer Love Stories is starting a cooperation with the Moonsisters brand, which actually produces more spiritual moon cycle products, just in time for Christmas. The Dutch label itself states on its platform that it wants to help people return to their inner core – or even find it in the first place. The upcoming season stands for exactly these topics: self-reflection and self-discovery. The date for the launch of the collection is not chosen at random – November 8th is said to stand for love, beauty and romance in the lunar calendar. The line consists of twelve hand-embroidered, slightly transparent briefs with lace details on the sides, each representing a zodiac sign. Word on front, picture on back. The panties cost 45 euros each.
