50 days after the presidential election on October 22, the schedule established by the National Electoral Chamber (CNE) indicates that today the campaign formally begins with a view to those elections.

According to the electoral schedule, today also expires the term for the registration of candidates proclaimed in the PASO and the request for the officialization of lists.

Likewise, the term for the appointment of two economic-financial managers by political grouping ends, as well as the term for the presentation of the final report by list to that person in charge.

Meanwhile, on September 17 -35 days before the elections- the electoral campaign will begin in the media, with a new batch of spots by the five presidential candidates who raffled the PASO and were left in the race for the national election.

Five days later, on the 22nd of this month, the official publication of the final register will take place.

Meanwhile, September 27 is the established date from which the holding of public acts that seek to capture the vote will be prohibited.

But the date that will most attract voters will be October 1, the day the first mandatory presidential debate will take place.

A week later, on October 8, the second debate will take place.

On the other hand, the campaign will end on October 20, the date on which the electoral ban begins for the general elections that will be on the 22nd.

In case there is a second round, the mandatory presidential debate will be organized on November 12; and on the 19th of that month the ballotage.

To be elected President in the first round, the candidate with the most votes must obtain 45% of the votes or 40% and a difference of 10 points with the second candidate.

Otherwise there will be ballot, which according to the Law must be carried out within 30 days of the general election.
