Thiruvananthapuram: An 8-year-old girl and her father have approached the High Court in connection with the theft of their mobile phone by the Pink Police. The petition seeks disciplinary action against the officer who tortured him for a crime he did not commit.
Rajitha, an officer, called him ‘Kalli’ and insulted him in front of the public. He undressed his father and examined him. But the mobile phone was later found in the officer’s handbag.
Despite filing a complaint with the Attingal DySP against the offending officer, no significant action was taken. The officer was only relocated to a place of interest to them. The girl also demanded Rs 50 lakh as compensation for her trauma.
