Although Maccabi Haifa came out defeated when they beat PSG 7:2 last night (Tuesday) at Parc de France, the fans of the team from Carmel certainly paid tribute to the club when they came en masse to the French capital to support their team and received quite a few compliments throughout Europe following the cheering display Outside and inside the stadium.
The morning after the game, the local police published the official number of Maccabi Haifa fans who were present yesterday at the Paris stadium. According to the police statement, no less than 6,580 green fans were around the stadium yesterday, most of them of course not in the stands designated for the team’s fans.
Remember, the allocation received by Maccabi Haifa was only 1,650 tickets, which caused many fans who were unable to get a ticket, to buy their place in the stands of the host team. Before the game, it was discussed that the fans who bought tickets for the hosts’ stands would not be able to enter with Maccabi Haifa signs and in the end, as far as the crowd was concerned, the evening passed quietly.
