In a suspected murder incident, a 52-year-old resident of Nahariya was shot dead in Kiryat Bialik by a motorcyclist. Initially injured by the shooting, the victim was later pronounced dead. Medical teams from Magen David Adom (MDA) provided immediate treatment and evacuated the victim with a penetrating injury to Rambam Hospital. The police arrived at the scene to investigate. The victim, who was known to the police, is believed to have been involved in a conflict between criminals.

Yair Salomon, an MDA paramedic who treated the victim, described the scene: “When we arrived, we found the wounded man lying unconscious, without a pulse, and not breathing. He had suffered a penetrating injury to his body. We immediately initiated advanced resuscitation measures, including chest compressions and assisted breathing. We transferred him to the MDA intensive care unit and continued resuscitation efforts as his condition remained critical.”

This incident comes just a week after the murder of a 16-year-old boy near the Gan Shmuel shopping center. It was determined that the boy was not the intended target of the assassination, but the intended targets were 51-year-old Avi Biton and his 27-year-old son, Yarin Biton. Both of them, who were already known to the police, had received threats prior to the incident. They sustained serious injuries when their car was targeted by gunfire while in motion. In addition to Avi and Yarin Biton, another young man was moderately injured.

The police are intensifying their efforts to investigate and resolve these incidents, which appear to be connected to ongoing criminal conflicts.
