On June 20, 1971, the first of the more than 1,300 chapters of a story that went around the world and still goes around the world was seen. 52 years ago, Chavo del 8 was broadcast for the first time. And the success of the strip was such that its creator left an immense fortune as an inheritance.

Roberto Gómez Bolaños, who died on November 28, 2014 in Cancun (Mexico), amassed a fortune of more than 50 million dollars with his long career, which was distributed among properties, jewelry and other assets.

However, the exact amount of the inheritance has never been confirmed. After Chespirito’s death, the fortune was shared among the actor’s six children: Roberto, Graciela, Paulina, Teresa, Cecilia and Marcela -who were the product of his first marriage-, as well as actress Florinda Meza, the actor’s second wife.

However, apparently, the only heir to “Chespirito” was Roberto Gómez Fernández, to whom he left all the actor’s brand in his possession. While the author delegated some properties to Florinda Meza in life, a succulent bank account, as well as some costumes for Chapulín Colorado, El Chavo and El Chómpiras, three of his creations.

In turn, he gave the rights to the characters he played as Chimoltrufia, plus two literary works called Hanna and Reina Madre, to the woman who accompanied him through all the years of success until his death.
