The Election Commission had announced that Assembly elections would be held in Uttar Pradesh in 7 phases. Elections are being held today in 61 constituencies, including Ayodhya and Amethi, in 12 districts, with four phases already underway.

Voting begins at 7 a.m. today and ends at 6 p.m. Voters line up to cast their ballots.
