54 African countries seek to develop cooperation with Russia

The founder of the African Business Club in Russia, Louis Guinde, announced that “almost all 54 independent states on the African continent seek to develop cooperation with Russia at all levels.”

“The volume of trade with Russia was 2% of the volume of trade of African countries for several years, and now it is about 4%, the percentage is still meager but things are going well,” Goind said.

“Of course, this was greatly facilitated by the new geopolitical situation that emerged in the world after February 2022,” Guind added.

“Almost all 54 independent states on the continent are now interested in developing multifaceted relations with Moscow,” Goynod stressed.

He said: “Some countries have pro-Western elites in power, but even in these countries, unlike the authorities, the people want to build normal relations with Russia.”

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that “Russia attaches special importance to strengthening friendly relations with African partners, as the desire to build a fair, multipolar world order unites countries.”

The Russian President expressed his confidence that “the continued implementation of the plans and agreements reached as a result of this important multilateral meeting meets our common interests and is in line with ensuring stability and security on the African continent.”
