BSNL 5G Launch Date in India: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the 5G mobile service in the country. Participating in the event, Union Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that by March 2023, more than 200 cities in the country will get 5G services.
BSNL’s 5G service from August 15, 2023
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that BSNL will launch 5G service from August 15, 2023. Minister Ashwani made these key points at the sixth edition of India Mobile Congress (IMC-2022) held at Pragati Maidan in Delhi on Saturday.

90 percent of the country will have 5G service
From August 15, 2023, the government-run telecom service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will launch its 5G service in the country, Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said. He said that in the next two years, efforts are being made to provide 5 services in 80-90 percent of the country.
5G service will be available in these cities first
Jio has promised to provide affordable 5G services across the country. Around Diwali, Jio announced that 5G service will be available in 4 major cities of the country namely Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. At the same time, Airtel has announced that the trial of 5G service has already started. The company said that 5G service will be provided in 8 cities of the country in the first phase. At the same time, neither Vi nor Vodafone-Idea has given any information about the launch of 5G service.
Service will start soon
Telecom service providers Airtel, Vodafone-Idea and Jio are yet to provide information about this service and data plan for customers. Notably, Airtel and Jio had promised their subscribers to launch 5G services this month.
