5th Festival of Culinary Diplomacy in the Canary Islands: Dakhla-Oued Eddahab in the spotlight

This new edition is intended to be a promotional event aimed at highlighting the richness and cultural and tourist diversity of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region in particular and Morocco in general, indicate the organizers.

It includes a series of activities, including cultural events, craft exhibitions, folklore, gastronomic tastings, as well as seminars to present investment opportunities in the tourism sector at the regional level, thus providing the opportunity to reach out to as many Spaniards as possible to give them a taste of a thousand-year-old Saharan Moroccan culture with many facets.

This edition will also shed light on the tourist attractions of southern Morocco and highlight all the tourist niches and the tangible and intangible capital that these provinces abound in.

On the agenda of this event, which will see the participation of a strong delegation from the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, are planned working sessions with Spanish officials in charge of tourism and other tour operators and travel agencies, and meetings with the specialized press.

The objective is to consolidate the image of this Moroccan Saharan region as a safe, competitive and mature destination, meeting the requirements of tourists in search of discovery, quality and novelty, and to explore new avenues of partnership for the strengthening of the positioning of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab destination on this market.

This year, the festival will celebrate its fifth anniversary, an anniversary that will be celebrated under the theme “Moroccan culinary art or the history of a thousand and one flavors”, says the director of the Culinary Diplomacy Festival and ambassador of the Moroccan Federation of Culinary Arts in the Canary Islands, Bachir Ayad.

This event will see the participation of great Moroccan and foreign chefs, cooks and pastry chefs, who will all compete to give their best to present the best dishes and delight the taste buds through fusions of ingredients, spices and aromas that give Moroccan cuisine all its richness, originality and particularity, he added.
