India’s Koneru Hampi placed 5th in the women’s section of the World Blitz Chess Championship. Vaishali finished 14th and finished the race.

Champions: In the women’s event, Kazakhstan’s Bibisara Asubayeva became the champion with 14 points, followed by Russia’s Alexandra Kostenyuk with 12.5 points and Valentina Kunina from the same country with 12 points.

In the Open category, France’s Maxim Vacchia became the champion with 15 points, followed by Poland’s Jane Christoph Duda and France’s Alrisa Frizza with 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
