/ Media outlets and sources from inside Syria reported on Friday that sites belonging to armed factions in Syria were subjected to heavy shelling, indicating that 6 militants were killed.

The sources reported that drones launched direct strikes on sites belonging to Iranian-backed armed factions in the countryside of Al-Mayadeen in Syria.

The sources added that the sites that were bombed belong to the Fatemiyoun Brigade and the Iraqi Al-Nujaba Movement.

The sources confirmed that “planes are bombing sites in Al-Haidariya and Al-Shabli in the Al-Mayadeen desert in the Deir Ezzor countryside,” noting that “the raids on areas in eastern Syria have been ongoing for a quarter of an hour.”

For its part, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that 6 members of the Iranian-backed armed factions were killed and 4 others were wounded in bombing operations that targeted 8 sites in Syria.

Meanwhile, Politico quoted a Pentagon official as saying, “The raids on sites in Deir Ezzor are not American.”
