NCP chief Sharad Pawar instructed the ranks to prepare for the by-elections. Sharad Pawar also says that the Shiv Sena opposition leader Eknath Shinde-led government will fall within six months. He was addressing party leaders and MLAs at a meeting held in Mumbai.

Many with Shinde are not happy with the status quo. The NCP leader clarified that Pawar had said that with the division of the ministry, discontent would come out and it would lead to the fall of the government. Pawar’s prediction is that Ambe will fail in his new experiment with the BJP and many will return to the Shiv Sena. Pawar directed that they should get at least six months in between and spend more time in their respective constituencies to intensify their preparations to win the upcoming elections.

Eknath Shinde, the leader of the Shiv Sena opposition party, was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra with the support of the BJP on Thursday. BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis is the Deputy Chief Minister. The Maha Vikas Aghadi government led by Uddhav fell when Shinde raised the flag of rebellion by firing 40 MLAs.
