6 mutual funds will not pay dividend to unitholders

The trustee committees of six funds listed in the mutual fund sector in the capital market have announced not to pay dividends to unitholders. This decision has been taken for the unitholders after reviewing the audited financial report for the financial year ended June 30, 2024.

The funds are Exim Bank First Mutual Fund, First Bangladesh Fixed Income Fund, First Janata Bank Mutual Fund, IFIC Bank First Mutual Fund, Trust Bank First Mutual Fund and EBL First Mutual Fund.

On Sunday (September 15), this information was revealed by Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE).

The dividend decision was taken after reviewing and approving the last year’s audited financial report at the fund’s trustee committee meeting held earlier on Thursday (August 13).

EXIM BANK FIRST MUTUAL FUND: At the end of the financial year ended 30, 2024, the loss per unit (EPU) of the fund was Rs. (1.91). The loss per unit was Rs.(0.20) during the same period last year. At the end of the year ended, the net asset value (NAV) of the fund at market value stood at Rs.8.16.

FIRST BANGLADESH FIXED INCOME FUND: At the end of the financial year ended on 30, 2024, the fund had a loss per unit of Tk (1.82). The loss per unit was Rs.(0.11) during the same period last year. At the end of the year ended, the fund’s market value NAV stood at Rs.8.32.

First Janata Bank Mutual Fund: The fund posted a loss per unit of Rs. The loss per unit was Rs.(0.32) during the same period last year. At the end of the year ended, the fund’s market value NAV stood at Rs 7.54.

IFIC BANK FIRST MUTUAL FUND: At the end of the financial year ended 30, 2024, the fund had a loss per unit of Tk (1.79). The loss per unit was Rs.(0.22) during the same period last year. At the end of the year ended, the market value of the fund stood at Tk 8.19.

Trust Bank First Mutual Fund: At the end of the financial year ended 30, 2024, the fund had a loss of Rs. (1.96) per unit. The loss per unit was Rs.(0.10) during the same period last year. At the end of the year ended, the market value of the fund stood at Tk 8.16.

EBL First Mutual Fund: At the end of the financial year ended 30, 2024, the fund had a loss per unit of Rs.(1.89). Loss per unit was Rs (0.29) during the same period last year. At the end of the year ended, the fund’s market value NAV stood at Tk 7.88.

The record date for all the funds has been announced on October 6.
