Bollywood Actress Meenakshi Lashadri Wants to Dance in ‘Pushpa 3‘ Item Song

Veteran Bollywood actress Meenakshi Lashadri, known for her expertise in Bharatanatyam, Kathak, and Odisha dance, recently gave an interview to Lehren Retro. In this conversation, the 60-year-old actress expressed her desire to dance in the item song of the upcoming movie ‘Pushpa 3’.
Meenakshi explained her motivation, saying, “I want to do an item song. I want ’Pushpa 3′ to be so impactful that people will say, ‘Wow! This is an item song!’ At 20, you have to look a certain way to perform an item song. I want to change that idea.”
Meenakshi has taken a hiatus from acting and revealed her desire to pursue an item song in her career. She mentioned that she has never sung an item song before but now feels a strong desire to do so.
The actress made her Bollywood debut in 1983 with the movie ‘Painter Babu’ and went on to star in films such as ‘Hero’, ‘Andhi-Tufan’, ‘Merry Jung’, ‘Shahenshah’, ‘Damini’, ‘Mahadev’, and ‘Duet’. She eventually moved to Texas with her children and runs a dance school there.
