A search operation at a palm oil plantation in Malaysia’s Klang area has resulted in the arrest of 61 illegal foreigners.

Director General Khairul Tasmi Daoud said that 32 men and 29 women including 18 children have been arrested in this operation.

It was found that the residences where the foreign workers were staying had been functioning for the past six years.

“These settlements have been illegally connected to electricity and water and waste water has been released into the river. The condition of the apartment was very poor and unlivable,” said the Director General of Immigration.

It is said that 30 illegal aliens escaped during the manhunt.
