Karnataka Higher Education Minister Aswath Narayan said in an interview to reporters in Bengaluru yesterday:-
The 61st National Open Athletics Championship will be held in Bengaluru from 15th to 19th. These competitions are organized by the Karnataka Athletics Association. It is a matter of pride that these competitions are being held in Karnataka after 30 years. 47 types of competitions will be held in this athletics competition. Chief Minister Basavaraj Dolly will inaugurate these competitions. Governor Thavarchand Khelat participates in the closing ceremony and distributes the prizes. Athletes from all states of the country participate in this competition.
