67 arrested for trying to flee Sri Lanka to Australia as refugees

Colombo: Sixty-seven people have been arrested for trying to flee Sri Lanka to Australia as refugees.

The Sri Lankan Navy has arrested 67 people in the Trincomalee Sally area. Also, the Sri Lankan Navy is investigating.

Sri Lanka’s severe economic crisis has led to a sharp rise in prices of essential commodities, including food and medicine.
