jpnn.comBONE BOLANGO – Moderate to heavy rainfall intensity that hit almost the entire Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province caused the water discharge from residents’ channels and several tributaries to overflow.

This caused flooding and as many as 698 people were affected by the natural disaster, on Monday (26/8) at 07.00 WITA.

Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center Abdul Muhari said the flood affected seven villages spread across three sub-districts, namely Bone Sub-district, Bone Pantai Sub-district and South Suwawa Sub-district.

Based on reports received by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), it was recorded that 698 people were affected and took refuge in the homes of relatives who were not affected by the flood.

“Meanwhile, data collection on damage to facilities and infrastructure is still ongoing,” he said in a press release, Monday (26/8).

Abdul said the Bone Bolango Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) is still coordinating with related agencies.

“The local sub-district and village authorities are also continuing to collect data on victims and affected infrastructure. The latest reported conditions are that it is still raining with light intensity,” he said. (man/jpnn)
