7-1! FC Porto «cylinder» Benfica in the roller hockey classic

In the big game of the 16th round of the national roller hockey championship, FC Porto defeated Benfica at Dragão Arena, with a 7-1 victory.

The first half was evenly balanced and the game reached half-time with one goal on the scoreboard, after goals from Carlo di Benedetto, who put the Dragons ahead in the fourth minute, and Zé Miranda, who restored equality in the 18th.

FC Porto took the lead again in the 28th minute, through Hélder Nunes, following a direct free kick and then it was goal after goal. Faced with a total loss from Benfica, the dragons were lethal: Gonçalo Alves (30m) extended the advantage, Hélder Nunes also completed a hat trick (33m and 39m), while Edu Lamas (35m) and Diogo Barata (44m) scored the remaining goals of the portistas.

Benfica, national champion in title, continues to have a season far below expectations and remains in fourth place, with 32 points. The Reds, moreover, could be caught in the classification by Sp. Tomar already in this round.

FC Porto is third, with 39 points, one less than Sporting and Oliveirense, first and second, respectively. These two teams, however, have one less game played.

As for the lions, this Saturday, they won against HC Braga, 10-4.
