Tiruppur: In Tiruppur, police recovered the severed head of a youth from a rubbish bin. In connection with this, seven people were arrested.

Satish, 25, from Mayiladuthurai; Ranjith, 20, from Trichy, was working at the Banyan Embroidery Company in Tirupur’s Serangadu area. The two were taken to a forest area where Ranjit was attacked with weapons including a knife and chased away.

Satheesh was beheaded and brutally murdered. Police seized four CCTV footage and set up four squads to search for the culprits. Seven teenagers, aged 23-25, from Palladam and Tiruppur were arrested yesterday.

Suspicion in the background

The first phase of the investigation has revealed that Ranjit and Satish, who were intoxicated, had asked the four onlookers if they had cannabis and the dispute ended in murder. Doubts have been raised as to whether the detainees are hiding the real cause from the police, police said.
