Vaniyambadi police on Saturday arrested seven people, including a female liquor dealer, Maheshwari, who was hiding inside a house in Thiruvannamalai.
Maheshwari has been accused by his gang of selling counterfeit liquor for 25 years in Netaji Nagar, Vaniyambadi, Tirupati district. Also, there are various cases of sale of cannabis, kerosene, counterfeit liquor, counterfeit liquor, and assault. There are allegations that Maheshwari is selling counterfeit liquor not only in and around Vaniyambadi town but also abroad.
In this context, since March 6, Netaji Nag has been engaged in a public struggle to stop the sale of illicit liquor to the people of the Indira Nagar neighborhood and to arrest his associates, including the liquor dealer Maheshwari.

Later, Maheshwari arrested her husband Srinivasan, Devendran, Usha, Chinnarasu, Mohan and the woman who had given them a house to stay and brought them to Vaniyambadi for interrogation.
