New Delhi: BJP has won 4 assembly constituencies namely Kolha Kokranath constituency of Uttar Pradesh, Adhampur of Haryana, Gopalganj of Bihar and Tamnagar of Odisha. Tejashwi’s Rashtriya Janata Dal has won Bihar’s Mohama constituency, TRS has won in Telangana’s Munukode, and Uddhav-led Shiv Sena has won Mumbai’s Andheri East.

Earlier, by-elections were held on November 3 for seven vacant assembly constituencies in six states.
Accordingly, the votes cast in the by-elections to the two Assembly constituencies of Bihar, Mogama and Gopalganj, Andheri in Maharashtra (East), Adhampur in Haryana, Munukot in Telangana, Kolhagaraknath in UP and Dhamnagar in Odisha were counted today (November 6).

Before the elections, out of these 7 assembly constituencies, BJP had two, Congress had two, Shiv Sena had one and Rashtriya Janata Dal had one.

With the counting of votes over, the BJP has won 4 assembly constituencies namely Gola Khokranath in Uttar Pradesh, Adhampur in Haryana, Gopalganj in Bihar and Tamnagar in Odisha. Tejashwi’s Rashtriya Janata Dal has won Bihar’s Mohama constituency, TRS has won in Telangana’s Munukode, and Uddhav-led Shiv Sena has won Mumbai’s Andheri East.

First Multiple Exam: It has drawn attention as it is the first multiple test for Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav and the ruling RJD-United Janata Dal alliance, which ditched the BJP to form the government. BJP candidate Kusum Devi won in Gopalganj on behalf of RJD in this contest. RJD candidate Neelam Devi has won in Mohama constituency. Both these constituencies have gone to whichever party held it before the by-election. This is seen as a setback for the RJD, which was expecting a 2-to-2 victory in this by-election after the breakup of the BJP alliance.

The party gave a hand! The result of the by-election is being counted in Adhampur, which is considered the family stronghold of former Haryana Chief Minister Bhajan Lal. His grandson Bhavya Bishnoi is contesting here. He recently switched from Congress to BJP. Recently Bhavya Bishnoi’s father Kuldeep quit Congress and joined BJP. As a result, by-elections were necessary in that constituency and there was an expectation that the BJP would win there. Bhavya Bishnoi has succeeded in fulfilling that.

This is new for Shiv Sena: This is a completely different election for the Shiv Sena in Maharashtra. Shiv Sena has contested elections with the party name Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) in the flame symbol. The incident assumes significance as Eknath Shinde rallied disaffected MLAs and became Chief Minister with the support of the BJP. Here Rujutha Latke is contesting on behalf of Shiv Sena (Uddav wing). BJP is not contesting here. As expected, Rujutha Latke has won.

BJP has also won Gola Gokarnath constituency in Uttar Pradesh. TRS’s Kusakundala Prabhakara Reddy won in Telangana’s Munukode constituency. He won by securing 10,000 more votes than the BJP candidate who opposed him.
