The 55-year-old Ukrainian, appalled by the Russian missile attack on Ukraine, decided to take revenge in a unique way.
Ostchuk, decided to sink the yacht of Russian billionaire Alexander Mijaev (CEO of Rosoboronexport, a Russian military arms company, ml), valued at an estimated seven million euros. As far as is known so far, the engineer opened various valves on board the ship and began to sink it. Heavy damage was done to the engine room of the yacht.
Mahans told the media about the reason he decided to sink the yacht: “The Russian missile hit an apartment block very similar to where I live in Ukraine. So I decided to take revenge on the Russian owner of the yacht I worked for the last ten years.”
This week a statement was made to the Russian engineer in court, where he was brought after he turned himself in and was arrested for partially sinking the yacht. In court he admitted and said: “I do not regret anything I did and would do it again.”
“My boss is a criminal who sells weapons that kill the Ukrainian people. The weapons used are manufactured by the yacht owner’s company. They attacked innocent people.”
