The number of people infected with the virus has risen to 68 in Maharashtra as 7 more people, including 4, have been diagnosed with the transmitted omega-3 infection.
So far 32 people have been diagnosed with omega-3 infection in Maharashtra alone. As the vulnerability continues to rise, the federal health ministry has advised state governments to ensure uninterrupted supply of oxygen to hospitals.
It is also requested to check whether all the oxygen centers are in working condition. Meanwhile, a 7-year-old boy in Kolkata and two foreigners in Hyderabad have been diagnosed with omega-3 infection.
