This August 19 marks the 361st anniversary of the death, in 1662, of the French mathematician, physicist and thinker Blas Pascal, one of the greatest figures of Rationalism and founder of modern existentialism.
Also known for his contributions to hydrodynamics — the unit of measurement for pressure bears his name — Pascal bequeathed numerous citations in his writings. Here we highlight seven.
