Citroen will enter the Indian market by 2021 with its C5 Aircross premium SUV model. Then this year it introduced the C3 model to suit the entry level compact hatchback segment. Built on the CMP platform, the Citroen C3 will be launched with an electric powertrain early next year.
The new Citroen eC3 model will be launched in the Indian market by January 2023. Expect the new Citroen eC3 to rival the Tata Tiago EV in terms of price. The new Citroen eC3 electric car in the Indian market is priced at Rs. 10 lakhs to a maximum of Rs. It seems that it will be fixed up to 12 lakhs.
Following the new electric car, Citroën is reportedly planning to launch a three-row version of its C3 model. It is also said that the car could be launched as Citroen C3 Aircross, C3 Sport Tourer or C3 Plus. It seems that the new Citroen car will compete with the Renault Triber model.
Citroen’s 7-seater C3 is priced at Rs. 10 lakh budget is targeted at those who want to buy a car suitable for family use. It can be expected to replace the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Kia Karenz. The design and interior features of the new 7-seater Citroen C3 model are said to be similar to those of the C3 regular model.
Earlier, spy pictures of the 7-seater variant of the Citroen C3 were leaked online. Accordingly, it has been revealed that the new car will get the same grille, headlamps and bumper. Expect the car to be slightly longer than its hatchback version and its rear overhang will provide more passenger space inside the car.
