NATO estimates today (Wednesday) that 7,000 to 15,000 Russian soldiers have been killed so far in the fighting in Ukraine, where the Ukrainian army is surprisingly holding out against the army that is considered the second strongest in the world.

A senior NATO military official said the assessment was based on information from Ukrainian officials, what Russia had published – intentionally or not – and intelligence gathered from open sources.
