The government has decided to purchase a total of 72 thousand 897 electric poles in three separate lots of the Bangladesh Rural Electricity Board (BAPBIBO) electricity distribution system modernization and empowerment (Khulna division) project. According to sources, the electric poles will be collected in 3 separate lots of the project titled ‘Modernization and Empowerment of Electric Distribution System of BAPBIBO (Khulna Division)’ under implementation by Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BAPBIBO). The project with a total estimated cost of Tk 3,762,250,000, funded by the Government of Bangladesh, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the organization itself, was approved at the ECNEC meeting on May 4, 2021.
