75th Republic Day celebration at Marina Beach: Governor R. N. Ravi hoists national flag, Chief Minister M. K. Stalin leads parade

On the occasion of the country’s 75th Republic Day, Governor R. N. Ravi hoisted the national flag at the flagpole in a ceremony held on Friday at Marina Beach Road on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Chief Minister M. K. Stalin’s government officials participated in this function.

The public watched and enjoyed the spectacular parade events that followed.

The 75th Republic Day was celebrated across the country on Friday. On this occasion, Governor R. N. Ravi hoisted the national flag at the flagpole erected near the statue of the laborer on Kamaraj Road, Marina Beach, Chennai at 8 am. When the flag was hoisted in the presence of Chief Minister M. K. Stalin, the National Anthem was played and garlands were showered by helicopter.

Chief Minister who made the introduction: Earlier, Chief Minister Stalin arrived at the venue of the function at 7.50 am with a motorcade of police forces followed by Governor Ravi and a military motorcade.

At that time, Chief of Staff South Indian Areas K.S. Brar, Naval Officer Ravi Kumar Dhingra, Air Force Officer Ratish Kumar, Coast Guard Commandant Tony Michael, DGP Shankar Jiwal, Chennai Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sandeep Roy Rathore, Additional Law and Order DGP A. Arun. CM Stalin introduced the governor.

Strength of the Triforce: Continuously, Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, various units of Tamil Nadu Police Department, National Student Corps, Forest, Jail, Fire Department, School and College Bands, Scouts, Scouts, Home Guards parade honors. An acceptance ceremony was held. Later, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin presented various awards including Anna Medal for Valor, Fort Ameer Medal for Religious Harmony, Chief Minister’s Special Award.

Later, on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Art and Culture Department, there were performances by various state art groups, dance and song performances by school and college students.

Parade of Government Department Vehicles: 22 vehicles lined up to explain the project activities of Tamil Nadu government departments.

The Kalaignar Centenary Climbing Stadium, which has been newly constructed and opened for use in Tamil Nadu, and the new bus stand at Klambacham are prominent among the parade vehicles. Also, a police vehicle was paraded to demonstrate the latest technologies such as vehicle identification software and facial recognition software.

In the parade, the Chief Minister’s Trophy and Gallo India paraded in honor of the sports department. The visitors were greatly attracted by the parade of decorated workers explaining the new schemes of various departments including rural development, agriculture and total.

Large crowds: In the past, strict restrictions were imposed on Republic Day celebrations due to the outbreak of the Corona virus. Due to the absence of any such restrictions this year, the general public gathered in large numbers on both sides of the beach road where the ceremony took place and watched the Republic Day events. A large number of people gathered on both sides of the road, resulting in traffic jams at some places.
