jpnn.comEAST KALIMANTAN – The Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kemenkominfo) plays an active role in disseminating information regarding the development of the IKN, including the readiness for the upcoming 79th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia’s Independence Day.

As Government Public Relations (GPR), the Ministry of Communication and Information continues to be committed to amplifying and increasing public awareness regarding the IKN program.

“We hope to continue to build synergy and collaboration between ministries and institutions. Also, we will continue to provide accurate information to the public about the government’s readiness to hold the commemoration of the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia at the IKN,” said the Director General of Public Information and Communication of the Ministry of Communication and Information, Usman Kansong at the Press Conference ‘Readiness of the East Kalimantan Provincial Government and Local Communities in Welcoming the Implementation of the Flag Ceremony for the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence at the IKN’ online (18/7).

The plan is that President Joko Widodo will attend and lead the ceremony on August 17 at the IKN.

The East Kalimantan Provincial Government together with the local community is committed to making the 79th Indonesian Independence Day a success with all thorough preparations.

Holding the August 17th ceremony at the IKN for the first time will certainly be a part of history for the people of East Kalimantan.

“The presence of the IKN has created a different euphoria since 2019, when East Kalimantan was designated as the region for the Indonesian Capital City,” said the Regional Secretary of East Kalimantan Province, Sri Wahyuni.

Sri explained that a number of preparations had been made to welcome the implementation of the ceremony at the IKN, including infrastructure and accommodation.

The first flag ceremony for the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia in the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN) will be a part of history for the people of East Kalimantan.
