Eight cases of theft were solved in the context of a targeted police operation that took place today (Monday, March 4, 2024) in the morning in the Karakonero area of Rhodes.
The police operation was organized and carried out by officers of the Security Directorate of Rhodes with the assistance of men from the Crime Prevention and Suppression Team (OPKE).
During the police action, eight citizens were brought in who, as it was ascertained, in the period from January 29 to February 29, 2024, broke into eight residences and vehicles from where they removed valuables, money and objects.
At the expense of the perpetrators, aged between 13 and 30 years, a case file was filed for committing thefts, on a case-by-case basis.
Also, a 36-year-old man was identified against whom an Arrest warrant was pending from the Regular Investigator of Misdemeanors of Rhodes for the commission of aggravated theft, committed and attempted, which were recently solved (Related from February 23, 2024 Press Release).
The arrested person will be taken to the District Court of Rhodes.
