8 Lakh E-Consumers ‛Aadhaar Number Link| Dinamalar

CHENNAI–As of yesterday, 8.15 lakh consumers in Tamil Nadu have linked their ‘Aadhaar’ number with their electricity connection number.

The Central Government has directed the State Governments to link the Aadhaar number of the beneficiaries of the subsidy schemes with the concerned scheme.

Following that, 2.34 crore households will be provided with free and subsidized electricity; 22.87 lakh agriculture; 9.75 lakh cottages; On 15th, the Electricity Board started the process of linking the electricity connection numbers of 1.65 lakh powerloom consumers with the ‘Aadhaar’ number.

Consumers can visit Electricity Board’s website www.tangedco.gov.in, electricity payment centers and link Aadhaar number. Till yesterday, 8.15 lakh people have linked their Aadhaar number. Many are working on linking Aadhaar.
