New episode of terror in a shopping center in the town of Allen, a suburb on the outskirts of Dallas in Texas. At least 8 people have died and seven more have been injured in the last shooting that the country has suffered.
It happened after 3:30 p.m. (local time) when an armed man broke into the busy shopping center of the town. The attacker entered an H&M chain store and, without saying a word, opened indiscriminate fire on customers.

According to Allen Police Department Chief Brian Harvey, the shooter has been shot by a policeman who was in said shopping center, after a call unrelated to the attack. Harvey has also confirmed that there is no longer any danger in the area because the attacker acted alone, although the investigation remains open.
At the scene of the attack, the lifeless bodies of 6 people have been recovered, in addition to the murderer, while nine more have been taken to hospitals and two of them have lost their lives in the medical center. Data confirmed by the Chief of Police, who has also assured that among the injured there are several in critical condition and at least one of the deceased is a child.
The first images of the event published in the media show how the building from which the clients left with their hands on their heads and horror and fear on their faces has been evacuated. Inside, the police searched the shops one by one more than two hours after the start of the attack.

The sound of The shots have sown chaos and fear in the shopping center according to the survivors of the attack.
“We were outside the Converse store and we heard all these explosions,” a woman who was shopping with her daughter explained to Fox News. “We all just stopped, and then a second later, it’s just ‘Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop,’ and there were sparks flying like it was right in front of us.”
For his part, another 17-year-old boy told The New York Times that he was in his car, because he had arrived early for his shift at one of the stores when he heard “probably more than 20 shots” and saw people running out of the place.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has issued a statement to express condolences to the families of victims and injured. “Our hearts go out to the people of Allen, Texas tonight during this indescribable tragedy,” said the Republican, who has assured that he is in contact with the mayor of the municipality and has offered him “all the support of the state”, as well as “the necessary assistance and resources” also to clarify what happened.
