Choi Soon Hwa is 80 years old and will turn 81 next October. She was born in the middle of World War II.
As a child, Choi dreamed of becoming a model but was unable to achieve it. In 1970, a patient at the hospital where Choi was working encouraged her to pursue her dream.

However, Choi Soon Hwa could only fulfill her dream of walking on the runway for the first time at the age of 76. At the age of 80, she decided to register for Miss Universe Korea 2024 to win a place in the Miss Universe pageant. Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico later this year. She will be the oldest contestant at Miss Universe if win the national competition.
