Alessandra Rich’s designs can be recognized from a distance. The designer, who was born in Italy and now works from London, has stood out for over a decade thanks to a distinct eclectic style that combines feminine glamor, childlike sweetness and a hint of ‘granny-chic’ characterized by sonic interpretations of cuts and elements from Sabbath’s wardrobe. Influences from the eighties, which have become super desirable in recent years, also star in her collections and the hype never ceases.
Only last week did the designer’s name make local headlines, with Eliana Tidhar wearing the brand’s stunning silk dress to the wedding of Niv Sultan and Maor Schweizer. The black mini dress with the white collar is a prominent representative of the spring-summer 22 ‘collection that is sold in the Amor boutique.
From the world headlines, Rich’s name also does not go down as her most prominent ambassador – Kate Middleton, continues to be loyal to her. After packing an eighties dress with a yellow-and-white print for the Caribbean trip, the Duchess did it again.
At the memorial service for Prince Philip last night, Middleton wore another designer dress. This time, the Duchess chose a midi dress with a polka dots print. The dress is characterized by the typical ‘rich’ look that includes slightly puffy sleeves, a pleated-looking bottom and three asymmetrical statement buttons in the shoulder area.
The look was successfully styled with the help of a Lock & Co wide-brimmed hat, black heels and drop-pearl earrings that were passed on to the Duchess inherited from the late Princess Diana.
Kate William arrived at the ceremony accompanied by Princes George and Charlotte. The royal 6-year-old also dressed according to the occasion and was spotted wearing a button-down navy coat with a Peter Pan collar, matching tights and black doll shoes. Under the coat, the princess wore a plaid dress with a white collar that, in contrast to the mother’s expensive dress, is currently at a nervous sale price of about NIS 200.
