This two-day exhibition, organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication – Department of Communication, retraces beautiful epics of the history of the Kingdom and the process of the national struggle for Independence.

Throughout this exhibition, the visitor has the opportunity to fully appreciate the unwavering and solid ties uniting the Glorious Alawite Throne and the Moroccan people, as well as the feelings of joy and jubilation expressed by Moroccans following Independence. Some photographs immortalize the popular uprising that Morocco experienced following the exile of His Late Majesty Mohammed V, in addition to certain actions undertaken by the National Liberation Army.

In a statement to the press, the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, highlighted the deep meanings of the celebration of this anniversary, noting that this exhibition traces some key stages of national history and the fight led by the illustrious Royal Family and the Moroccan people for freedom and independence.

“Today, we celebrate the presentation of the Independence Manifesto, an opportunity to commemorate the struggle led by the Father of the Nation, the late His Majesty Mohammed V, and his companion in struggle, the late His Majesty Hassan II, to free themselves from the yoke of colonialism,” he noted.

Furthermore, the minister noted that this exhibition is intended for all Moroccans and especially young people so that they can grasp the full scope of this historic event and what it represented for the generations who took part in it.

He indicated that his department “will work to generalize the organization of such events at the national level”, specifying that it is necessary to promote the History of the Kingdom among Moroccan youth.

Designed to revive national memory and recall the role played by the Throne and the Moroccan people in the struggle for Independence, this exhibition is an ideal opportunity to delve into the pages of Moroccan history and grasp its value.
