A large missile attack was fired from the Russian side towards the cities of Ukraine. The Russian attack is the biggest in months. At least eight people were killed, and at least seven more were injured. Civilian energy infrastructure sites were damaged. At least three people were injured as a result of the missiles and drones hitting Kyiv, Mayor Vitaly Klitschko said. Due to power outages following the massive Russian attack, 40% of the capital’s residents were without heating, Klitschko said.
A 34-year-old man was killed and an 8-year-old girl and a 19-year-old boy were injured in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast as a result of Russian missiles and drones hitting them, Governor Seri Lisk said. The energy infrastructure in the region also suffered serious damage and workers are making repairs, the governor said.
According to the governor, Russia hit the Kharkiv region with S-300 missiles during the night. Critical infrastructure was damaged, including in the city of Kharkiv. All emergency workers are on site, the governor said. Governor Vitaly Kim said 9 missiles were fired at Mykolaiv district and were later shot down by air defense. There were no casualties.
Missile attacks in Odesa Oblast damaged the energy infrastructure, said Governor Maxim Marchenko, according to the governor, the air defense shot down 6 missiles and one UAV over Odesa Oblast.
