jpnn.comSOLO – No less than 841 elementary school (SD) and Islamic elementary school (MI) students took part in the MilkLife Soccer Challenge Series 1 2024 championship in the Solo and Yogyakarta regions which was held simultaneously for four days from Thursday (25/7) to Sunday (28/7).
This activity is a continuation of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge 2024 series which was previously held in Kudus, Surabaya, Jakarta, Tangerang, and Bandung since early 2024.
Djarum Foundation’s Bakti Olahraga Program Director Yoppy Rosimin said Yogyakarta and Solo were the main references in the 2024 MilkLife Soccer Challenge.
Because, in the two cities, the love for the round ball is very high. This is also reflected in the enthusiasm of the participants who compete on the green field.
“Yogyakarta and Solo have quite a long history in the journey of football in Indonesia. The people also really love this sport. So the MilkLife Soccer Challenge was called to come to these two cities to move the wheels of the women’s football ecosystem. We are grateful, in addition to the high enthusiasm, there are also many quality seeds that are seen on the field,” said Yoppy.
Like previous cities, the MilkLife Soccer Challenge held 7 vs 7 matches between schools in two age categories (CU), namely KU 10 and KU 12.
In Yogyakarta Series 1 2024, SDN Ungaran 1 B managed to win the KU 10 champion title after defeating the team from SD Tarakanita Bumijo 1 through a penalty shootout.
Meanwhile, SDN 2 Wonoharjo B Kebumen successfully won the championship title in KU 12 after dominating the match against SDN Graulan with a score of 2-0.
