The search for the missing 2-year-old girl Danka Ilic near Bansko Pole continues for the ninth day.

Serbian police are searching various places, including houses and apartments. At the same time, the Austrian police announced that a girl spotted in Vienna a few days ago is most likely the missing Danka Ilić.

“It is very likely that this is the child from Serbia. The family should watch the footage,” Vienna police said in a statement to N1.

Vienna police are requesting the release of the records at the behest of the prosecutor.

They are asking witnesses and people who know the women in the video to contact police immediately and report their whereabouts.

The information can also be sent anonymously to the Vienna State Office of the Criminal Police, the police said.

Volunteers on social networks called on their acquaintances in Bulgaria and Romania to share the photo of the girl.

Because of the case, the Amber Alert or “Find me” system was activated for the first time in Serbia. The child disappeared from his home in Bansko Pole, near the eastern Serbian town of Bor. The area is close to the border with Bulgaria and the Vidin region, writes bTV.

The little girl has brown hair, brown eyes and is about 85 cm tall. At the time of her disappearance, Danka was wearing purple pants, an olive green jacket and black sneakers.

The news of her disappearance quickly spread on social networks, and in addition to the army and police, search dogs were also involved in the search.
