9 New Cars – Tata Motors Unveils at Auto Expo

Tata Motors is showcasing various new models at Auto Expo 2023. These included models like ICE (petrol), EV and CNG. Tata Motors has not revealed much details about when these new models will be launched.

In that way, it seems that the 1.5 liter engine currently offered in the Nexon model and the 2.0 Fiat engine offered in models like Harrier and Safari will continue to be used for some more time. The Tata Sierra EV Concept second version was one of the models that caught everyone’s attention at the Auto Expo this time.

Currently this model has four doors, interior with conventional controls and switchgear. In that sense, it looks like the car is pretty much ready for production. This electric vehicle is built on Tata Motors’ Gen 2 architecture. The Gen 2 architecture is a heavily modified Alpha platform version.

The model is likely to be powered by Tata’s new generation 1.5-litre direct injection turbo petrol engine. The engine is expected to produce 160 to 180 hp. This engine can be offered in Harrier, Safari and Curve SUV models. Along with this, the Tata Avinya model, which was launched by 2022, is on public display for the first time.

This model is built on a bespoke skateboard platform. Expect this model to go on sale by 2025. It seems that this car will provide a maximum range of 500 kilometers on a full charge. It is also said that the Avinya model will be launched only in an all-electric version. As such, the ICE version of the car will not be launched.

The electric version of the Tata Harrier will be launched next year. The car gets a planked-off grille and aero-efficient alloy wheels. The car will also be offered with the option of two electric motors. It seems that a 1.5 liter turbo petrol version will also be launched.

The Tata Curve concept model is also featured at the Auto Expo 2023. The car is presented in production-ready condition with features like grille, fog lamps, wheels, tyres, bodywork and interior. Like the Sierra, this model is also expected to be available in two powertrains – Electric and ICE. These petrol engines can be offered with a 1.5 liter direct injection turbo, a new generation 1.2 liter direct injection turbo unit,

The Tiago EV Blitz model was showcased at the Auto Expo as a sport variant of the Tata Tiago EV. The model gets black alloy wheels, minor exterior updates, and blue bolts near the EV badge. So far no information has been released about the powertrain of this car. The car will be launched by 2024.

The much anticipated Tata Bunch EV model was not showcased. Instead iCNG versions were showcased in the Punch and Altroz ​​models. The Punch CNG model has not received any changes in appearance. Both the cars are offered with a twin cylinder unit. Along with these, the Tata Harrier and Safari Dark Edition models are slated to go on sale this year.

The Tata Altroz ​​Racer Edition model was also showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. The model is likely to be the top-end variant of the Altroz ​​i Turbo. This car is powered by a 1.2 liter turbo petrol engine. It churns out 120 hp of power and 170 Nm of torque. The exterior and interior of the Altroz ​​Racer model remain unchanged. There is no information about its release yet.
