9 people were shot dead in a pub

MEXICO CITY: Nine people were killed and two were injured in a shooting at a bar in central Mexico. A mob broke into a bar in the city of Abacio El Alto in central Mexico’s Guanajuato state last night and opened fire on those inside. Five men and four women inside the bar were killed in the shooting. 2 women were injured.

The injured have been admitted to hospital. Gang violence has increased in recent years in Mexico’s industrial heartland of Guanajuato. Last month, 12 people were killed in a shooting at a bar in Irapuato.
