90 percent of employees in India lament that they lost trust in Twitter

New Delhi: Twitter has reportedly laid off 90 percent of its employees in India. Dismissed employees complain that they have lost trust in the company. Elon Musk, the world’s No. 1 richest man, has laid off 50 percent of the company’s 7,500 employees worldwide following his acquisition of Twitter. Due to his decision in the name of cost-cutting measures, the employees who worked in India are the most affected.

Out of more than 250 people working in Twitter in India, it is said that up to 160 people have been fired. They have been given time till January 4 next year. After that they will be fired. By then they may look for another job. In the meantime, an email has been sent to hand over the items including the company laptop. Besides, many employees lamented that they did not receive any information. They say they don’t know if they are working or not. As a result, nearly 90 percent of the workforce is said to have been laid off, leaving only a few dozen employees on the job.

As far as Twitter was concerned, the employees were enjoying benefits like work from anywhere, good freedom and good salary. Now they are frustrated that all these are not in one day. With the current economic uncertainty, many are lamenting on social media that they doubt they will be able to find another job in 2 months.
